Your Guide to Everything Delta-10 THC
Jul 23, 2021
Delta-10, or Delta-10 THC, is the newest cannabinoid featured on store shelves, which we’re sure will leave you with lots of questions. What is it? Will it get me high? Is it legal? Does it come in Blue Dream or Bubba Kush?
But don’t worry, because here at CBD Mall, we’re going to walk you through everything step-by-step. You made it through the early days of cannabis legalization when no one knew what would happen with Delta-9. You braved those confusing times with hemp-derived CBD when everyone seemed to be selling it. And you found the buzz with Delta-8 THC. Delta-10 will be a piece of cake.
At this point, you’re practically an expert. Because these days, hemp is about so much more than just CBD. It’s about CBN and CBG. It’s about terpenes and flavonoids. And it’s about finding the right strain and the best cannabinoid to suit your needs, no matter who you are. So, with that in mind, here’s everything you wanted to know about Delta-10.
First Things First, What Is Delta-10 THC?
Of all the things you need to know about Delta-10, this is probably the most important. After all, who wants to try a new cannabinoid without understanding exactly what it is? Well, believe it or not, Delta-10 is a new cannabinoid — and we’re not calling it new because it’s being sold for the first time; Delta-10 THC is an entirely new cannabinoid that had never been discovered until a few years ago.
Science is fantastic, isn’t it?
As the story goes, a few chaps at a testing lab somewhere in California were messing around with Delta-9 THC concentrates. The thing is, these concentrates were contaminated with, of all things, fire retardant — which is why you always make sure your hemp products are third-party tested! But anyway, rather than toss their stash, these blokes decided to keep experimenting, and that’s when the magic happened.
Long story short that contamination resulted in the formation of Delta-10 THC. Nowadays, Delta-10 is made through all-natural processes, but it just so happens that it was discovered by a happy accident. But what exactly was discovered?
So, Delta-10 is one of the hundreds of cannabinoids found in the hemp plant, just like all of your favorites — CBD, CBG, Delta-8, etc. Just like with any cannabinoid, you change the molecular structure, and you get a whole new experience. Which leads us to the question that everyone has been asking…
Does Delta-10 Get You High?
Ah yes, the ultimate question about Delta-10 THC. It’s the top question about every cannabinoid, to be honest, and one that we’re accustomed to answering here at CBD Mall almost every week. Does Delta-10 THC get you high? It’s okay; we live in an era where fun, euphoria, and letting loose is not only acceptable, it’s downright expected in some circumstances.
And the answer is yes, Delta-10 THC can cause you to have a psychotropic high. You will most definitely feel buzzed. However, unlike other cannabinoids, like Delta-9 THC or Delta-8 THC, the high from Delta-10 is quite unique.
Much like those other cannabinoids, Delta-10 THC has an affinity for binding to your CB1 receptors. However, that’s where the similarities end. Delta-10 THC is said to have a much more subtle high, even compared to Delta-8. However, it has no paranoia or anxiety, as is commonly associated with Delta-9.
So what is the benefit of Delta-10 THC?
According to most users — energy! Delta-10 is a sativa-like cannabinoid that gives you a head buzz, unlike the body highs associated with Delta’s 8 and 9. It gets your creative juices flowing and keeps you feeling amped and juiced throughout the day. Most people who have tried it say they never tire and just keep going and going and going. Delta-10 THC is the jolt of energy you need.
So don’t expect to take a nap or relax with Delta-10 THC. This is one cannabinoid that will keep you up all night long.
What Are the Benefits of Delta-10 THC?
As if having a cannabinoid that keeps you moving all day long isn’t enough, Delta-10 THC can help in other ways. Much like its more famous cousins, Delta-9 and Delta-9 THC, there’s more to Delta-10 than just its sativa-like, energizing high. While we won’t purport to say Delta-10 has a list of definite benefits (after all, we’re not going to run afoul of the Food and Drug Administration), we can say that there are some users out there who have noted certain benefits for themselves. Of course, this does not mean that any of our Delta-10 products will do the same for you.
However, in addition to its super-amped-up buzz, Delta-10 has a myriad of benefits for users, especially those of you that live in states where cannabis is still not legal. Let’s run through a few of those:
- Delta-10 is an all-natural, hemp-derived cannabinoid
- You can purchase Delta-10 THC online in most states
- Delta-10 mixes well with Delta-8 THC for a relaxing but energizing buzz that affects both mind and body
- Delta-10 lacks the anxiety and paranoia commonly associated with Delta-9 THC
- As a sativa-like cannabinoid, Delta-10 THC is ideal for use during daytime hours
- As a lab-tested and trusted product, Delta-10 THC is safe for consumption
In other words, there’s a lot to love about Delta-10 THC. And every day, we’re learning more and more about this wonderful, amazing cannabinoid. Whether you prefer Delta-10 edibles or Delta-10 vapes, you’ll find this to be an invigorating cannabinoid that adds something different to the array of hemp-based products available on the marketplace today.
Is Delta-10 THC Legal?
It sure does feel like we’ve been through this a few times before. Obviously, we’ve spent years arguing and fighting over the legality of cannabis — and it’s a fight we finally appear to be winning. Next came CBD, a completely innocuous cannabinoid with less than 0.3% THC — heck, much CBD has no THC whatsoever. Yet, it was touch and go whether or not it would be legal for a few years there. Of course, then the Farm Bill came along and legalized hemp (more on that in a bit).
Now, it seems everywhere you look; another state is trying to ban… well, everything. The latest scourge is Delta-8 THC. The reason that this completely safe cannabinoid is being banned left and right by local legislators — other than the fact they need some low-hanging fruit to help their re-election efforts — Delta-8 causes a psychotropic high. These days, anything with a buzz is primed for the ban list. Euphoria and fun are illegal, apparently.
But the thing is, with Delta-8 and Delta-10, these hemp-derived products are federally legal. Remember the Farm Bill — the thing we mentioned like two paragraphs ago — well, it legalized hemp. And when the Farm Bill legalized hemp, it legalized all of its derivatives, including CBD, Delta-8, Delta-10, and more.
Folks will say this is a “gray area,” but there’s nothing gray about it. Here’s the deal:
- Delta-10 THC derived from hemp is legal at the federal level
According to the feds, synthetics are Schedule I drugs. However, the DEA is trying to argue that Delta-10 is a synthetic cannabinoid (it’s not), which would make it illegal. Meanwhile, more state legislators are trying to ban it.
But for now, Delta-10 THC is perfectly legal. You can buy it, sell it, consume it, walk around with it, fly a kite with it, and do whatever else you want with it. Just hurry; things could change soon.
But What About Drug Tests? Will Delta-10 Make Me Fail One?
We’re not going to lie; Delta-10 THC is awesome. It gives users a burst of creative energy unlike any other cannabinoid on the market today. Unlike Delta-9 and even Delta-8, you won’t feel like sinking into the couch and watching 27 hours of your favorite television show. You’ll want to get up, do stuff, go out with friends, and see the world. It’s an exciting time in the world of cannabinoid science.
Unfortunately, it’s still a terrible time for those folks who need to pass a drug test. While more organizations are eschewing the drug test as a relic of a time gone by, too many still believe in it. Whether you are required to pass one for work or another reason, we understand. And, unfortunately, when it comes to Delta-10, there’s a good chance you might not pass.
Most standard drug tests don’t look for the drug itself; they look for metabolites of the drug, in this case, THC. Delta-10’s metabolites are similar to Delta-9’s, so much so that a standard drug test can’t tell the difference.
So what should you do? Well, the best thing to do is abstain for a few weeks if you know you have a drug test coming up. There is no way to “beat” the test, despite what your friends may tell you. And in many cases, it just won’t be worth it to try. Also, make sure to switch to a healthier diet — fruits, vegetables, water, that kind of thing. You want to keep your body fresh and keep flushing out any leftover metabolites before your test.
Okay, But Is Delta-10 THC Safe?
We’ve written about this a lot here at CBD Mall because we know that safety is your first priority. With everything that’s happening these days — not to mention all of the craziness you hear about in the media — you want to ensure that the Delta-10 products you purchase are safe to consume. So, first things first — because Delta-10 THC is such a new and novel cannabinoid, researchers are still learning about it every day.
Unlike CBD or even cannabis, we just don’t have as much information. Delta-10 hasn’t been around as long, and on top of that, research on these things is always hard to come by. That being said, hemp-derived products are safe. No one has ever been hurt by hemp.
More importantly, where you buy your Delta-10 matters. Here, at CBD Mall, the important thing to remember is that you want your products reviewed by a third party. From CBD to Delta-8 to Delta-10 THC, all of our products are checked by third-party labs for contaminants, synthetics, and more. You know you’re buying the best because we wouldn’t have it any other way.
So, Where Can I Buy Some Delta-10?
Well, we’re glad you asked. Here at CBD Mall, we have a new collection of Delta-10 products we think — check that, we know you’re going to love. Hyper brand Delta-10 THC, now available in vapes and gummies, will turn you on your head. You’ll love the feeling of energy that you get while your creative juices start flowing. From Fruity and Tropical gummies to vape flavors like Blue Dream, Zkittles, and more, you can’t go wrong with Hyper.
So be on the lookout for Delta-10 THC, and don’t forget, this isn’t your grandfather’s cannabinoid. Delta-10 is a sativa-like, hemp-derived cannabinoid that will keep you moving. Enjoy it while you can, though, because as always, you never know when the feds will end the party!
